ALC Kids EXPERIENCE... Holy Spirit Out Pouring - April 18, 2010
I would have to say, it was just an ordinary day. I had not expected any thing. I actually can say this day I was a little discouraged with the way things had been going. It has been 107 degrees for many days, almost two weeks.
Offerings into the Ministry have been down this year, more than ever before in all the past 10 years!
The Miracles I have been hoping for, are not taking place, as I would like them to…
But, according to Daniel 4: 25…. God is Sovereign - the Most High is sovereign over the kingdoms of men and gives them to anyone he wishes.
It was Sunday evening and we were at the ALC Worship Center, in India. Praveena was the speaker for the evening Church service. She had been studying the day before and God would not allow her to share what she thought was the message for the day!
God kept asking her to speak about Lazarus and the grave clothes… from the Gospel of John chapter 11 and verse’s 38 to 44.
Jesus Raises Lazarus from the Dead - Jesus, once more deeply moved, came to the tomb. It was a cave with a stone laid across the entrance. "Take away the stone," he said. "But, Lord," said Martha, the sister of the dead man, "by this time there is a bad odour, for he has been there four days." Then Jesus said, "Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?" So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, "Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me." When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, "Lazarus, come out!" The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, "Take off the grave clothes and let him go."
During Praveena’s preaching this message, one man we had been praying for from the near by village who was near to death, came walking into the Church service and all the people who knew him were almost not able to believe that this man is healed and now walking. It was amazing to see their faces! But this was not the highlight of the day!!!
Next, it is now after service and Praveena & I usually will be praying for the people individually.
Praveena was praying for some people and one of the ALC Children, (One Girl), came to ask for prayer.
It was a prayer request for her to receive a good score on the final exams they had just taken that week in school.
This is a usual type of prayer request we get at this time of the year, as the Kids are taking their school exams, but what happened next was NOT usual!
Praveena tells the ALC Girl, I am going to pray for you and you will be filled with the Holy Spirit!
Well, to make a long story short, she received the Holy Spirit, but not only her. Her three sisters did also.
Then, four more of the ALC Girls received the Holy Spirit.
Finally, right after all the ALC Boys & I finished playing a great game of Badminton, we had all the Girls, Praveena & John lay hands on the Boys!
All the Boys also experienced the Outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
I have recorded it on video, so you can watch and give ALL the Glory to God!
Kindly pray that the children will be able to grow in their new prayer language!
